Work Outfits

A good friend of mine will be attending a seminar/ training something similar to Treasury Management training at the end of August and she's faced with what to wear. Actually, it's not a formal event but still every woman is worried on what she will be wearing all the day. She asked me for an advice and I just showed here these collections that I saw online for her wardrobe inspiration.

These are work outfits and they look presentable and up to date.

Organize Your Things With Slatwall Panels

Having a small space is kinda frustrating especially if you have many stuff that you wanted to display or put into place. One of the solutions that we can use aside from having drawers or cabinets is by using slatwall panels.

Slatwall Panels come in various colors and sizes and you can make them into different shelves depending on the size that you want to fit the area in your store or in your house.

Here are just some of the ideas that you can make:

How to Wear Colored Denims

These days, colored jeans (skinny or jeggings) are so "in" again that I bought a coral colored jeans by MANGO in Singapore when we had a vacation there in July. Colored jeans  made a comeback because I remember wearing them way back in the 80's where I have violet and green pants.  The only problem that I have with the colored jeans that I have right now is I'm having a hard time thinking of what to pair with it but I know the white or black blouse is perfect.

I'm also thinking of buying green or the royal blue colored jeans
so my wardrobe will be a little more colorful than the usual neutral colored ones.. I saw some nice pants at Zara and I'll check them out soon.

Here are some cute colored jeans and how to wear them. Aren't they cute??? My heart just melted.

Do you have colored jeans? If you don't have, are you considering of purchasing one?

  • Hot summer trends: the military look

I recently discovered a style that I absolutely fell in love with: I am talking about the military style and camouflage patterns (Wow, that really came as a surprise since the headline gave absolutely nothing away, did it?). Anyway, I was never a friend of the military look when I was younger because I was constantly reminded of war, weapons and all that. Needless to say that it was only the guys who wore such clothing at that time. But a couple of days ago I saw a really slim and pretty girl and she wore a top with camouflage prints on it. I was instantly hooked because I absolutely loved the strong contrast between her beautiful and slender physique and the camouflage pattern which is very "masculine”. Since then, I added two garments with camouflage printed on them to my wardrobe. One is the same top as the girl had (I just had to approach her and ask where she got it from) and the other one is a belt. I just adore this above-mentioned contrast between girlish colors and the "aggressive” military pattern.

    Adding military-style jewelry

Now I am on the hunt for any kind of jewelry that has the military look on it. I definitely want to add some watches that fit the military look to my collection and I have already seen some. However, I can’t decide yet which one my favorite is. If you are also interested in this look, you can find further information and also lots of pictures on this website.

In my opinion, though, it would look kind of strange if one was to wear just military clothes because in the end one would look like a soldier. The combination of the military look with other styles, however, really creates a great-looking urban outfit.

    Disco Lights Modernized with LED

    Party, Party! Party, Party!!!

I remember during my younger years in the 80’s, my friends and I used to attend parties of friends and enjoyed the night. There are lights and sounds that make the party more fun and enjoyable. The lighting back then where just strobing lights of different colors, mirror ball slowly spinning around while turntables are mostly using LP records. We danced and moved to the beat of the 80’s sound and just went crazy. The fad during those days is the “New Wave”.

These days, the music/disco scene has revolutionized. I might not have gone to discos or clubs lately but with the emergence of high-tech systems, I am sure that the clubs have amazing disco mirror balls, lighting effects and superb music already. Some younger friends that are going to bars and discos attest to that.

If great quality music/sound is necessary for any party, superb lights can definitely make the party more alive! These days, disco lighting comes with LED lights that can go with the beat of the sound emitting various colors in the dance floor. There’s no doubt that party goers will stand on their feet and just groove. These mirror balls are not only perfect for commercial discos but you can absolutely use it on small party areas and even at home as it can be easily installed and used. Most of these disco lights are now portable so you can bring it to any party area much easier.

If you are thinking of giving a party for your friends but wanted to veer away from large crowds in the discos, you can easily set up a party room. Put on these mirror balls, (check our Spencer’s for various types), pump up the music and gather your friends. Using such mobile lighting, party these days need not to be boring at all! So, enjoy the party everyone!

    Sweet and Girly Fashion/Style

Oh I just adore this style ! I'm also loving coral and orange colors lately because I found out that it makes my skin a little fair unlike the other colors that I've tried.

I’m also in love with crop pants so this goes to my style board too. The blouse with flower designs makes it girly and sweet. The bag, the thong sandals, earrings and the  bracelet complete the look. I can see this wearing on a weekend at the mall, with friends, and for quick errands.

This is a fun and easy way to put your hair up. Too bad, I cut my hair short so I will not be able to do this on my hair now. It will take another 3 years to have my hair this long. :( This is a pretty easy step to make on your hair.

This is the An Updated Chignon style. Just follow the drawings and you can re-created this.

    Models' Hardwork

Most of the times we thought that being a model is fun and glamorous. We see them walk in the runway, pose endlessly and wear lots of branded or signature clothes but behind those walk and good posture are lots of dedication and handwork. Just imagine the long hours of waiting to have their make up and hair done plus the fitting of the clothes can be tiresome too.

Some models are too skinny too as is they are not eating or always on a diet. I reckon it's pretty hard to look skinny all the time. I can also imagine the agony they can go trough if they have PMS or in Tysabri medication or just in pain. They can't complain much for the show must go on but with all that I'm sure they are also enjoying what they do if that is their passion.

Ohh ahhh.. I'm drooling over this Morning After Mini Bag by Rebecca Minkoff. I'm actually looking for a red bag this time since I already have the classic black, and brown leather bags. I wanted to have color in my bag so I guess this one is so perfect.
